How Your Child Learns
Learning in early childhood is an active, hands-on process. Our approach recognises that children learn best through purposeful play, discovery, observation, imitation, and interaction with others. These experiences stimulate curiosity, build foundational skills for future academic and personal success, and foster positive Islamic values such as competence, integrity, compassionate, responsible, and assertive, it is also known as our core values.
Children engage in both indoor and outdoor learning opportunities where they are encouraged to take initiative, solve problems, express their ideas, and collaborate with peers. Through integrating Islamic habits into daily routines, such as cleanliness, politeness, and cooperation, children develop strong moral character alongside their cognitive and social growth. Learning is made meaningful through real-life experiences that reflect children's interests, developmental needs, and spiritual growth.
Our Learning Environment
Our learning environments are safe, clean, welcoming, and intellectually stimulating. Each classroom is purposefully arranged to support the Cambridge Early Years framework and enriched by the Beyond Centres and Circle Time (BCCT) model - an innovative, child-centred approach that integrates play-based learning with intentional teaching strategies.
Within this environment, Islamic values are embedded through the consistent practice of positive habits. Children are gently guided and encouraged to uphold Islamic principles such as honesty, respect, kindness, and discipline throughout their day. These values are modelled by our caring educators and reinforced during circle times and learning activities.
Through the BCCT model, children engage in structured play experiences within learning centres, such as dramatic play, construction, sensory, literacy, art, and science, where they explore specific learning objectives while developing social-emotional, cognitive, and language skills. Daily circle time sessions provide opportunities for shared learning, language development, emotional connection, and community building.
Our experienced educators balance child-initiated play with adult-guided instruction, employing a wide variety of teaching methods, individual tasks, small and large group activities, structured and open-ended experiences, and quiet reflection, to cater to diverse learning styles, developmental stages, and spiritual growth.
The Six Areas of Learning and Development
Aligned with the Cambridge Early Years Curriculum, our programme focuses on six interconnected learning areas that lay the foundation for future academic achievement and lifelong skills:
Language Development
Our bilingual programme emphasises fluency in both English and Indonesian (the mother tongue), fostering balanced language acquisition through rich, meaningful communication. We implement the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach, integrating language learning with content teaching across various subjects. This method encourages children to learn language naturally within the context of their everyday learning experiences, promoting deeper understanding and practical use of both languages.
Incorporating Islamic Values
In addition to academic learning, children engage in the memorization of selected Surahs from An-Naas to Ad-Dhuha, cultivating spiritual awareness and a strong connection to their faith. This memorization is seamlessly integrated into daily routines, supporting both language development and moral education.
