Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Sekolah Junior High GIS 2 Serpong

Pada tanggal 1 dan 2 Agustus 2019, Junior High GIS 2 telah melaksanakan kegiatan Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan Sekolah atau yang sering disingkat dengan kegiatan LDKS. Seperti yang telah diketahui, leadership adalah salah satu pilar yang selalu ditanamkan oleh sekolah GIS. LDKS sendiri merupakan program yang diberikan bagi para murid agar para siswa dapat menanamkan karakter leadership ke dalam diri mereka. Pada tahun ini, kegiatan LDKS dilaksanakan di Citra Alam Lakeside Ciputat Tangerang Selatan yang bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan sikap tanggung jawab, disiplin, mandiri, jiwa sosial, dan menanamkan rasa cinta tanah air.

Didampingi oleh guru pembimbing, OSIS, Pramuka dan pihak sekolah lainnya, seluruh siswa disibukkan dengan berbagai aktifitas seperti penyuluhan mengenai Islamic leadership, baris berbaris yang baik dan benar, pemecahan masalah (problem solving) secara efektif, manajemen waktu, performance dan dinamika kelompok berupa permainan yang melatih kerjasama tim. Selain itu dilakukan juga kegiatan fisik untuk penggemblengan mental dan meningkatkan psikomotorik siswa seperti senam pagi bersama guru pendamping , olahraga, tracking ke hutan, fun game, outbond, bakti sosial. Seluruh peserta mengikuti kegiatan tersebut tersebut dengan serius dan antusias.

Kegiatan Parents Meeting SMP Global Islamic School

Sekolah Global Islamic School 2 Serpong telah melaksanakan kegiatan parents meeting bagi unit Junior High yang juga merupakan kegiatan pertemuan antara orang tua siswa dengan pihak sekolah yang diadakan pada tanggal 27 Juli 2019 bertujuan untuk membangun sinergi antara orang tua dan sekolah sekaligus untuk mensosialisasikan visi, misi, program serta empat pilar (keIslamam, kepemimpinan, keglobalan dan leadership) yang ditanamkan di sekolah untuk memberikan pendidikan yang terbaik bagi seluruh siswa.

Tampak para orang tua murid terlihat fokus dan serius mengikuti sosialisasi yang diberikan. Pada acara yang berlangsung lancar dan hangat tersebut juga, telah dibentuk kepengurusan koordinator kelas dari orang tua siswa yang kemudian juga menjadi bagian dari pembentukan kepengurusan Badan Koordinasi Orang tua Murid dan Guru atau yang disingkat dengan BKOMG.

Khotmul Qur’an

Unit SMP Global Islamic School 2 Serpong @jhsgis2serpong melaksanakan kegiatan Khotmul Qur’an sekaligus Doa & Dzikir Bersama menghadapi UNBK 2019. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada Jum’at, 12 April 2019 bertempat di Masjid Ulil Albab yang dihadiri oleh seluruh siswa, orang tua siswa kelas 9, dan tamu undangan. Khotmul Qur’an kali ini berjalan dengan lancar dan para siswa merasa bangga dengan tercapainya tahfidz serta telah menyelesaikan bacaan Al Qur’an satu khataman.

SMP & SMA Raih Prestasi Handball Competition Kota Tangerang Selatan

Tim handball dari unit SMP dan SMA Global Islamic School 2 Serpong pada Liga Handball se-Kota Tangerang Selatan 4 sampai dengan 7 April 2019, Alhamdulillah tim SMP Putra berhasil meraih Juara 3 dan tim SMA masuk semifinal/4 terbaik dari 18 sekolah. Semua pemain diturunkan, mereka belajar bagaimana kerjasama, saling support dan saling percaya. Semoga dengan prestasi ini semua siswa dapat termotivasi untuk selalu berprestasi baik dibidang akademik atau non akademik.
