Globe Girls is what we call the girls team of basketball JHS. It started in extracurricular, it is
open for people who register for the basketball extracurricular. But we also select those who
are serious to be in a team. For the team, we regularly have twice a week practices, and we
also compete in tournaments and events. Last year we took part in GISSENSE 2023, the
annual events of JHS, but it wasn’t our luck yet to move to the next round.

This year on GISSENSE 2024, we took part in competing again. Our efforts of regularly
having twice a week practice was finally paying off, we won the rounds to head on to the
semi finals, when we finally head onto competing in the semi-finals, it was so intense yet
exciting seeing all of the committees and some of the students gathering at the GOR to
support us. It was such an amazing moment seeing all of us gathering in unity to support our
basketball team, and how they were all cheering that made the euphoria unbelievable. So,
with all of the support we were able to go to the final round of GISSENSE 2024. All of us
were in tears knowing that we actually made to the final.

Showing up at the finals was an incredibly proud moment for all of us, this was the moment
to put all our energy and strength at the highest level of the competition. Still, there were alot
of students and teachers who were supporting us throughout the entire game. With all of the
people’s support, we surely didn’t want to disappoint them, though, we already put all our
best effort into this round, it wasn’t our turn to come out as the champion yet.

But, we came out as the runner up of girls basketball GISSENSE 2024, and we couldn’t be
more proud of it, also remembering how this team was shaped not even a year yet. I am
incredibly proud of us, and not forgetting to thank all support especially to coach Angga who
have been extra patient and incredible at coaching us since the beginning. This milestone is
going to be our goal to achieve better next year, we we believe that we can do it.
